Within this depth study students will learn about society, events and people from the time period, exploring how the different aspects of the period fit together. Students will focus on the changes and challenges of the Elizabethan era and the impact on all aspects of English life including religion, politics, foreign relations, society and age of exploration.
Students will complete a range of practice questions to develop their technique and application of historical knowledge throughout the unit. Upon completion, they will complete a mock for this section of Paper 2.
Students will develop an understanding of how modern society was formed by studying the changes brought in by the Normans.
Students will develop a better appreciation for British culture being a shifting concept rather than a fixed entity.
